| Morgan
Hill California experienced an economic transformation
from an agricultural center to a suburban residential
community in the 1950s. Its growth began to rapidly
accelerate in the 1970s as Silicon
Valley developed and workers were attracted to Morgan
Hill's small town atmosphere, sense of community and
reasonable housing prices. The city is comprised of
12 square miles. Approximately 35,000 people call Morgan
Hill their home.
Morgan Hill is located in southern Santa Clara Valley,
approximately 12 miles south of San
Jose, 10 miles north of Gilroy,
and 15 miles inland from the Pacific Coast. It is surrounded
by the Santa
Cruz mountain range to the west, and the Diablo
mountain range to the east. With lots of parks and open
spaces Morgan Hill is one of the communities in Santa
Clara County that offers a charming, small town atmosphere.
Morgan Hill’s high quality of life, available
land and buildings at affordable costs, semi-rural setting,
reverse commute, proximity to skilled and semi-skilled
workforce, easy access to Silicon Valley's business
infrastructure, and proximity to more affordable housing
are among the reasons for choosing Morgan Hill as your
home.
