City of Monte Sereno California was
founded by Admiral Thomas Inglis. Monte Sereno was incorporated
as a City on May 14, 1957.
Monte Sereno is located in the southwestern portion
of Santa Clara County at the base of the Santa
Cruz mountains between City of Saratoga and the
Town of Los Gatos. It is a beautiful community comprised
of approximately 1.56 square miles.
The City is approximately 50 miles southeast of San
Francisco and just minutes from the heart of Silicon
Valley. Many Silicon Valley executives have chosen Monte
Sereno as their home because of the location, superior
schools and the City’s beauty.
Monte Sereno is known for it’s beautiful estates,
wooded hillsides and rural character. It has approximately
3,800 residents and is an all residential community.
Monte Sereno has an estimated 1,225 households.
